UJI KINERJA MESIN PENEPUNG FOMAC TIPE FCT-Z300 DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN SUMBER ENERGI LISTRIK DC DAN AC UNTUK PEMBUATAN TEPUNG KACANG HIJAU
This study aims to determine the performance of the modified Fomac flour machine type FCT-Z300 using DC and AC electrical energy sources for the manufacture of mung bean flour. The research method used is descriptive method with the treatment of the flour machine time test. The flour machine time test consisted of three types of treatment, namely 30 seconds, 60 seconds, and 90 seconds. At each time treatment, two sources of electric current were used, namely DC (direct current) and AC (alternating current). Based on the research that has been done, the results of the highest flouring capacity are 35.92 kg/hour at AC current, and the lowest value is 11.89 kg/hour at DC current. The highest percentage of the material that passed as the flour yield occurred at 90 seconds of roasting time at DC current, which was 69.48%, and the lowest percentage occurred at 30 second flouring time at AC current, which was 39.92%. The energy consumed by the pulverizing machine is influenced by the type of current used as an energy source and is also influenced by the length of time the pulverizing machine is used. The highest consumption of electrical energy is 0.017 kWh in 90 seconds, while the lowest is 0.005 kWh in 30 seconds. The power efficiency of the flour machine used is very good, namely 96%. The highest percentage of materials that did not pass the sieve occurred in the first experiment with a floating time of 30 seconds at 58.04% at AC current, while the lowest percentage of materials that did not pass the sieve occurred in the third experiment with a flouring time of 90 seconds, namely 27.68% at DC current.
