HUBUNGAN MEROKOK DENGAN PENURUNAN FUNGSI PARU BERDASARKAN PENGUKURAN SPIROMETRI PADA PEGAWAI FK UNSRI
moking is one cause o f obstruction. Obstruction that occurs in the lungs will interfere with lung function. Lung function test using the measured spirometri is the value of Forced Expiratory Volume (FEV1), Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) and FEV1/FVC ratio. These values will be seen in spirometri and tools that will, so will be interpreted. Oloh therefore conducted studies to identify the relationship is there a decrease in smoking with lung funsi. Type of research is cross sectional study, which is descriptive analytic. Research conducted in Palembang UNSRI FK for one week in January 2010. Population studies were employees of Palembang and FK UNSRI sample was maie employees who meet the inclusion criteria. Research variables FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC (%), age and smoking. The number of samples collected 36 patients who had been tested. The results of the analysis deskriftif FEV1, FVC and FEV1/FVC showed average diflerences between groups of smokers and nonsmokers as well as age groups, but statistical analysis showed no significant relationship between FEV1, FVC and age (p = 0.305), FEV1, FVC and smoking (p = 0.167). There was significant relationship between the number of cigarettes with a decrease in FEV1 and FVC (p = 0.000). There was a significant association between the occurrence of smokers with obstruction (p = 0.000). There be used if pulmonary function lests performed regularly with spirometri a simple tool, to detect the occurrence of obstruction at an early stage so that treatment can be simple and the initial steps of prevention, especially in patients who smoke are encouraged to conduct regular checks spirometri.
