Background: Breakfast is the first meal consumed in the moming after a certain interval of time the body does not get food as an energy source. Breakfast increase the blood glucose level which is the main energy source for the brain. Objectives: Comparing moming random blood glucose level between breakfast and non-breakfast medical undergraduates of Sriwijaya University in Regular class 2010. Method: This research is an analytic observational study using cross-sectional design. Data are obtained through questionnaire distribution and moming random blood glucose measurement on medical undergraduates of Sriwijaya University in Regular class 2010. There were 70 students as respondent. The data were analyzed using t-Test. Results: Data showed that from 70 participants, 41 students were found having breakfast, while the remaining 29 students did not have breakfast. The result of t-Test analysis showed that the treatment of having breakfast and did not have breakfast has a significant effect on the student's moming random blood glucose level that were sampled in this study. The students who had breakfast have greater average blood glucose levels compared to non-breakfast students (p=0.0004). Conclusion: The average of moming random blood glucose level of students who had breakfast was higher than the student who does not have breakfast.
