PREVALENSI DAN KARAKTERISTIK PASIEN SEKSIO SESAREA YANG MENGALAMI ANEMIA DI RSUP MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PERIODE 1 JANUARI-31 DESEMBER 2010
Background: Anemia is a common medical problem found in the worldwide. It often happens in pregnant women and also women after delivery. Approximately 35-75% pregnant women in developing country are anemic. Anemia that happens after delivery is caused by losing much blood during delivery. Caesarean section (CS) can increase the risk of anemia because of losing much blood during operation. Descriptive study in Pontianak showed that postoperative anemia (72,7%) is the most complication of SC. The aim of this study is to get the prevalence and characteristics of CS patients with anemia in RSUP Mohammad Hoesin Palembang from January lst until December 31st 2010. Method: This is a descriptive study with cross sectional method. It was conducted from October until December 2011 in Obstetry and Gynecology Department of RSUP Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Population and samples were taken from medical record of patients who had caesarean delivery in RSUP Mohammad Hoesin Palembang from January lst until December 31st 2010. Results: The prevalence of anemia before SC was 16,6% and after SC was 17,4%. The highest percentation of anemia before and after CS was patients >35 years old and the highest in grandemultipara. The highest percentation of anemia before CS based on body weight was patients between 88-95 kg while after CS was patients between 40-47 and 88-95 kg. Based on body height, the highest percentation of anemia before SC between 163-168 cm while after CS between 143-146 cm. Patients from Palembang city with the highest percentation of anemia before CS were from Seberang Ulu I and after CS were from Ilir Barat II, while patients from outside of Palembang with the highest percentation of anemia before CS were from P agar alam and Prabumulih, and after CS were from Pagaralam and Empat Lawang. Based on the indication of CS, failed of cervix maturation and ASD were the highest percentation with anemia before CS, and after CS, gemelli and failed of cervix maturation were the highest. Wholebood was given intraoperatively in 18 patients and PRC was given postoperatively in 5 patients. Conclusion: The prevalence of anemia before and after SC were lower than other study Otherwise, this study supported the theories that the most preganant and delivery women with anemia are >35 years old and grandemultipara women.
