Background : The population of South Sumatera in 2010 was 7,45 million people, so that it was became a problem for Indonesia because it was not appropriate with economy development. One of effort to decrease the number of birth with family planning program was family planning pill contraception. The purpose of research was to know prevalens and analyze the factor that related to using of family planning pill contraception for acceptors in Merdeka Primary Health Center Bukit Kecil Palembang in 2010. Methods : A cross sectional study has been done in Merdeka Primary Health Center since October untill November 2011. The population of this research was all reproductive age women in Merdeka Primary Health Center Bukit Kecil Palembang in 2010. This research has 681 sample. Statistic analyze has been done with univariate analysis, bivariate analysis and multivariate analysis use SPSS versi 18 Result: Prevalens rate of family planning pill contraception (oral contraception) was 23.1% and there were three variables that had assosiation but did not significantly affect with family planning pill contraception (there was no assosiation that significant), that is age (p=0.987), the number of children (p=0.345) and health insurance (p=0.144). Final multiple logistic regression analysis showed that dominant factor was health insurance. Conclusion: Prevalens rate of oral contraseptive is 23.1%. Sociodemographic factor such as age, the number of children and health insurance had association but didnot significantly affect with oral contraseption.
