UJI LAJU PENGERINGAN KOPI BERAS MENGGUNAKAN BED DRYER
The research was conducted at Sukananti Village, sub district of Jarai, Pagar Alam on Desember 2008 until July 2009. This research was aimed to fmd out the best drying rate of bed dryer for coffee beans taken from two production center based on the thickness. This research used factorial block design with two factors, namely the origin of coffee beans (A) and the thickness of coffee beans (H). The result slowed that the drying rate taken from Bukit Timur was faster compared to coffee taken from Pagar Alam. The Bukit Timur-coffee beans with thickness of 5 cm was the fastest drying rate (6,11% per hour) and coffee taken from Pagar Alam dried at 15 cm in thicknes was the slowest drying rate (2,44% per hour).
