The objective of this research was to analyze the expediency of pump machine that had been applied in swamp rice field on the second planting season. The research was conducted at irrigation area in Ogan Keramasan Pemulutan Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatera started from August 2016 until May 2017. The research was arranged using survey method by direct observation in the field and interview based on questioner. Direct observation was done to swampy rice field, irrigation water suppletion, and shallow well water pumping. The interview based on questionnaire was done to the swamp rice field farmers, water pump user, and farmers whose did not use the pump. Parameters observed were water balance, pump machine operating cost, total cost of farming, and the comparison between farming income and farming outcome. The result was feasible to apply suppletion using pump in swamp rice field was were produced water discharge of 52.25 mm/month so the surplus of 44.71 mm/month. Economic aspects is not feasible to apply suppletion using pump was were the NPV value in range of -Rp. 2,344,842,- and 0.84 for net B/C ratio.
