APLIKASI MIKROKONTROLER ATMega 8535 UNTUK MENGETAHUI PERUBAHAN SUHU PADA ALAT PENGERING TIPE SILINDER
The objective of this research was to apply the microcontroller ATMega8535 as detection of drying temperature on some points of the cylindrical dryer. It was conducted at Workshop of Agricultural Technology Department, Faculty Of Agriculture, Sriwijaya Uni versi ty, Inderalaya ffom January 2009 to June 2010. Parameters observed in this study were the specification of tools, tools performance (ability to control movement of the temperature changes during the drying process of grain), and grain moisture content at each layer of drying. Written program (instruction and data) that downloaded into the microcontroller was by using the programming language ATMega8535 Bascom AVR. Heat occurs in the drying cylinder is less prevalent because the pile of grains in the cylinder so that the sensor was too tightly so that performance in the reading of the temperature sensor is obstructed. LPG needs during the drying process for 20 kg of grain was as much 1 kg or heat needs required for 10.900 kcal. This means that the requirement of LPG for drying grain was relatively low.
