PENINGKATAN PERFORMA INDUK CALON RESIPIEN TRANSFER EMRIO (TE) SAPI BRAHMAN DENGAN PEMBERIAN HORMAN BST (Bovine Somatotropin) DI LAHAN SAWIT PT. DIAN MULIA TANI
The objectives of this study was to find out he potential increase in performance ot the parent embryo transfer recipients with the hormone bST (Bovine Somatotropin) on the palm oil plantations. The study was conducted on June 2011 untill Mei 2012 at PT. Dian Mulia Tani, Rimau Island, Lubuk Lancang, Betung District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatera Province. The study used 20 Brahman cows which devided into 2 groups. The treatments studied were as follows: 10 head of beef cattle were not given any treatment or without the hormone bST (Bovine Somatotropin) as control group, and 10 head of beef cattle were given hormone bST (Bovine Somatotropin). Variables observed in yhis study were: Added weight of cattle, body condition scoring (BCS) and reproductive status. The results showed utilization of the hormone bST (Bovine Somatotropin), given a good effect. It is seen that the cows that were given bST has a well- developed reproductive condition. It can showed at the growth follicles and also lead to estrus.
