PENGARUH "STOPLOG' TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK ALIRAN PADA SALURAN ALUVIAL
Indonesia is a tropical area that has swamps that are large enough for agriculture. Most of the irrigation canals in agricultural areas in Indonesia are alluvial channels and the support for the success of these agricultural areas is the tides. Stoplog is one of the buildings of the water system network that is used to raise the water level so that it can drain a wider agricultural area. Therefore, knowing the characteristics of the flow and the shape of the water table is important to build a stoplog network. In this study, alluvial channel modeling in the laboratory was carried out using 4 variations of discharge, namely 0.00476 m3/s, 0.00616 m3/s, 0.00861 m3/s and 0.01174 m3/s , so that it can be concluded that the flow characteristics for Reynolds number in all discharge variations and all variations in the height of the stoplog upstream and downstream of the stoplog are turbulent flow (Re> 2000) and the flow characteristics for the froude number in all variations of valve openings and all variations in height from the upstream stoplog experience a subcritical flow pattern (Fr < 1) and after passing through the flow the dominant stoplog experiences a pattern supercritical flow. However, there was a decrease in speed at the height variation of 3 stoplogs at the debit variation of 0.00861 m3/s and 0.01174 m3/s. This is due to a hydraulic jump which causes sediment build-up which causes the flow depth to decrease and causes the flow velocity to decrease, while for the water level profile, the shape obtained tends to be towards M1 and M3.
