UJI SISTEM PEMANTAU SUHU DAN KELEMBABAN PADA PENGERINGAN GABAH MELALUI SHORT MESSAGE SERVICE (SMS) BERBASIS MIKROKONTROLLER ATMEGA16
The research objective was to implement temperature and humidity monitoring system on rice drying trough message Service (SMS) based microcontroller ATmegal6. The method used in this research were consisted of system investigation, design implementation, instrument design and instrument testing. This isinstrument testing was done on rice drying with sun-floor drying. The observed parameters were operator Service rate, equipment accuracy, temperature and humidity surrounding sun-floor drying. This equipment sent the temperature and humidity data produced from sensor DHT-11 measurement with time interval of 5 minutes through SMS to the users. The result slowed that the highest operator Service rate was 4.15 seconds with relative error compared to digital thermometer and digital hygrometer of 1.85 % and 1.15 %, respectively. If temperature < 34°C and humidity > 65 %, than equipment will gave sign to users by sanding SMS in forms of temperature and humidity with notification of rainfall occurrence probability. Final moisture constant of rice for 5 hours drying period was 14.3 % with average temperature of 33°C and average humidity of 59.39 %.
