PENGARUH KOMPOSISI MEDIA TANAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN KALE (Brassica oleracea var. Sabellica)
This study aims to determine the composition of the best growing media on growth and yields of kale (Brassica oleracea var. Sabellica). This research was conducted in Jakabaring (104°46'44"E;3°01'35"S), Palembang City, South Sumatra Province. The implementation time of the research starts from June to September 2021. The method used in this research is the Randomized Block Design (RBD) The method consists of 1 factor, the composition of the planting media with 3 (three) treatments consisting of 3 (three) replications. Each replication consisted of 9 plants. Thus, the number of plants observed was 81 plants. And it will be harvested 3 times (48 DAP, 55 DAP, and 62 DAP) with total of 27 plants. Comparative treatment of planting media composition consisted of 3 treatments, K1 = Soil: Husk Charcoal: Goat Manure (2:2:1), K2 = Soil: Husk Charcoal: Goat Manure (2:1:1), and K3 = Soil : Husk Charcoal : Goat Manure (2:1:2). Parameters observed included plant height, leaf number, leaf width, leaf midrib length, and canopy area as well as growth parameters, namely leaf fresh weight, petiole fresh weight, stem fresh weight, stem diameter, root fresh weight, root length, dry weight. leaves, petiole dry weight, stem dry weight, and root dry weight. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the composition of the growing media has no significant effect on all growth and yield parameters.
