PENGARUH DOSIS PUPUK MIKORIZA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT PADA DUA VARIETAS KELAPA SAWIT (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) DI PRE NURSERY
Indonesia is known as one of the largest palm oil-producing countries in the world. However, the availability of qualified seedlings is still a major problem for farmers. One o the factors that could affect oil palm productivity in the nursery phase, such as the use of appropriate fertilizers. Alternative fertilizer that can be used to get good plant growth is the use of mycorrhizal fertilizers. This study aimed to find out the best dose of mycorrhizal fertilizer for the growth of two oi palm varieties in pre-nursery. This research was conducted at the shadow house of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir from October 2020 to January 2021. This experiment used a Completely Randomized Design with eight treatments and four replications, in each treatment there were three samples. The treatments are given consisted of A (Simalungun variety without mycorrhizal fertilizer), B (Simalungun variety with 5 g of mycorrhizal fertilizer), C (Simalungun variety with 10 g of mycorrhizal fertilizer), D (Simalungun variety with 15 g of mycorrhizal fertilizer), E ( Sriwijaya 2 variety without mycorrhizal fertilizer), F (Sriwijaya 2 variety with 5 g of mycorrhizal fertilizer), G (Sriwijaya 2 variety with 10 g of mycorrhizal fertilizer), H (Sriwijaya 2 variety with 15 g of mycorrhizal fertilizer). The results show that mycorrhizal fertilizer significantly affect the difference in number and length of root, seedling fresh weight, and seedling dry weight, but the treatment has no significant effect on seedling height, the number of leaves, leaf greenness level, total leaf area, and seedling diameter. Based on the results of the orthogonal contrast test conducted, it shows that the application of mycorrhizal at various dosage levels can increase plant growth in each variable compared to the control treatment. A dose of 5 g mycorrhizal is the best treatment compared to other doses. The use of mycorrhizal in both varieties showed that the Sriwijaya 2 variety has a better response than the Simalungun variety.
