This study was conducted to study the high fluctuations or movement of groundwater face and waterway face in peat. This research was conducted at Sriwijaya Botanical Garden, Bakung Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province in October to December 2019. Data analysis in the form of soil content weight, total pore space of soil and hydraulic conductivity value of soil is carried out in the laboratory of soil physics, land department, faculty of agriculture, sriwijaya university, indralaya. The method used in this study uses proposive random sampling method. The results showed that the groundwater level near the channel is higher than the height of the groundwater level that is far from the channel. the value of content weight on peat soil ranges from 0.35 to 0.47 g/cm3; total pore space value (RPT) ranges from 82.19% to 86.93% and the hydraulic conductivity value of peat soil is in medium grade. Groundwater level management system is influenced by the results of groundwater level observations, this is because the peat surface generally looks flat but the reality in the field is not flat / slightly ramped.
