This study purpose is to mapping and comparing the levels of organic matter in rice fields with rice-rice and rice-palawija crop rotation at Subdistrict Pagar Alam Selatan, Pagar Alam City. This study was conducted in Subdistrict Pagar Alam Selatan, Pagar Alam City from March until August 2021 and the soil analysis was conducted in Soil Chemical, Biology and Fertility Laboratory in Agricultural Faculty of Sriwijaya University. Sampling was conducted by survey grid method with a level of detail survey. Parameter measured was C-organic and analyzed by Walkey and Black method. The result showed the status of organic matter in both rice fields in Subdistrict Pagar Alam Selatan of Pagar Alam city is very high, with the average organic material content in rice fields with rice-rice crop rotation is 11,96% and the average organic material content in rice fields with rice- palawija crop rotation is 9,96%.
