STUDI PEMUPUKAN Zn DAN N MELALUI TANAH DAN DAUN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN PADI (Oryza sativa L.) VARIETAS IR 42
Cultivation of rice plants in the flooded fields for a long period caused the land suffered from Zinc (Zn) and Nitrogen (N) deficiency. The research was carried out from May to August 2021. The purpose of this research was to evaluate growth and production of rice plants in swampland with Zn and N fertilization through soil and leaves. This research used IR 42 rice variety with five treatments consisted of A = Control; B = Zn through soil; C = Zn through leaf; D = N through soil, and E = N trough leaf using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) carried out with 3 replications. Parameters observed included plant height, tiller number, leaf chlorophyll content, booting age (days), flowering age (days), harvest age (days), panicle number per clump, panicle length, grain number per clump, grain weight per clump (g), weight of 100 dry milled grain (g), and percentage of empty grain. The data obtained were tested by ANOVA test and further tested with 5% LSD to determine differences between treatments. Based on the research results, N fertilization through soil gave the best results seen from several observed variables. N fertilization through leaves had the heaviest 100 grains with an average of 2.094 g. Zn fertilization through soil and leaves had not indicated significant results on growth and production of rice plants.
