This thesis examines the lack of public awareness, especially about the importance of maintaining solidarity in the environment, where the community busy with daily activities such as work, gadgets and others. One of the efforts to increase solidarity while preserving Kompangan art as a channeling medium and forming a Kompangan art group in Kedotan Village sekernan subdistrict in order to increase community solidarity. With the aim to find out and understand whether kompangan art can increase community solidarity. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The informant is determined by purposive technique, namely there are 12 informants. Data collection techniques are conducted with in-depth interviews, observations and documentation. The data was then analyzed with the basis of Emile Durkheim's theory of solidarity. From the analysis of the data conducted, it was concluded that kompangan art has a significant impact in forming or increasing the solidarity of the Kedotan community because there are religious values in every song performed, family values and social values.
