The elimination of violence against women in Indonesia is a responsibility for government and society. Cases of violence against women are a very important and must surmounted. A widespread crisis of violence against women having an affects on worries of women’s life. As the matter of fact, accomplishment and alternatives have been made in the elimination of violence against women. The discussion in this research focuses on analysis of Indonesia’s role in its compliance with Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women regarding to violence against women, to find ot how Indonesia surmounting violence against women. Qualitative descriptive methodologies used in this research to obtain in-depth analysis. This research uses indicators from international regime compliance theory to analyze field findings. The results of the analysis show that Indonesia is in the level of passive compliance about its compliance with Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women. Indonesia has carried out the commitments that have been agreed, but it has little effect on the condition of violence against women.
