DIPLOMASI INDONESIA-ARAB SAUDI DALAM MENINGKATKAN KUOTA IBADAH HAJI
Hajj is the 5th pillar of Islam that must be carried out for all Muslims who are able. Hajj is held once a year on the 1st of Dhul-Hijjah. The Hajj itself is held in Saudi Arabia as the host country and countries outside Saudi Arabia as guest countries, one of which is Indonesia. In this study the author used the theory of public diplomacy and qualitative research methods and literature studies in which the researchers collect, compile, and interpret the data which then analyzes the data. This research shows that Indonesia-Saudi Diplomacy through a long process of negotiation and lobbying conducted by heads of state and representatives of the country since 2013. Then only in 2017 Saudi Arabia approved an increase in Indonesia's Hajj quota with a total of 221,000 people. Keywords: Hajj, Indonesia-Saudi Arabia Cooperation, Increased hajj quota
