KAWASAN EKONOMI KHUSUS ASEAN: KOMPARASI PENGEMBANGAN INDONESIA DAN VIETNAM
ASEAN has implemented Special Economic Zones as an effort to improve the country's economy so that it can prosper the people in each member country. Indonesia and Vietnam as ASEAN member countries have also carried out the development of Special Economic Zones, especially the development of Special Economic Zones in the field of Agriculture. In this study, researchers focused on planning the development of Special Economic Zones in Indonesia and Vietnam in the agricultural sector, in Indonesia there are several SEZs that focus on agriculture, namely SEZ Sei Mangke, SEZ Maloy Batuta Trans Kalimantan, SEZ Bitung, SEZ Sorong, and SEZ Arun. Lhokseumawe. Meanwhile in Vietnam, there are South Key Economic Zones as Vietnam's special economic zone that focuses on agriculture. Although both countries have special economic zone activities, there are differences in terms of per capita income in the two countries. This study aims to compare the role of the governments of both Indonesia and Vietnam in planning the development of Special Economic Zones in their respective countries. The researcher used qualitative methods with library study data collection techniques. Using the Macroeconomic Competitiveness theory approach introduced by Michael Porter, with the dimensions of Political Institutions and Legal Certainty. The results of this study are from Indonesia and Vietnam in the formation of SEZs in each country in the end it was carried out to improve the economy in Indonesia and Vietnam and aimed at the welfare of citizens from both Indonesia and Vietnam.
