STRATEGI KOMUNIKASI PEMASARAN SPORT TOURISM DI KOTA PALEMBANG
Sport tourism has become a tourism industry with very significant developments in Indonesia and in the city of Palembang. The growth of sport tourism activities contributes significantly to state revenue in the tourism industry and creative economy sector, which is 25%. The city of Palembang has held many national and international scale events such as the Asian Games, Bowling Cubica World Cup, MXGP Motocross and Palembang Thriathlon. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method using the integrated marketing communication theory by Kotler and Keller (2008). Observation, documentation and in-depth interviews became the main focus in data collection. This study was conducted to determine the marketing communication strategy of sport tourism in the city of Palembang and how advanced the city of Palembang is in working on the concept of sport tourism. The results of this study indicate that although the components in integrated marketing communication have been fulfilled, the application of the concept of sport tourism in the city of Palembang has not been able to run properly, there is a gap between the lines that should be able to produce good synergy from all elements, causing the development of sport tourism. in the city of Palembang is also a bit hampered.
