REPRESENTASI STEREOTIP PEREMPUAN DALAM FILM PENDEK “TILIK
This thesis discusses the stereotypical representation of women in the short film Tilik. The research method used is qualitative in the form of semiotic analysis. Signs that represent the stereotypical depiction of women are analyzed using television codes in John Fiske’s semiotic theory, consisting of three levels: reality, representation and ideology. The data in this study are collected using documentation and literature study. As for the result of the study, it is the stereotype of women in the short Tilik film which is split into two: traditional stereotypes on women and new stereotypes on women. Traditional stereotypes are described as gossiping women, not understanding digital literacy, displaying wealth end others. This is the influence of the patriarchate culture that exists in society. While the new stereotypes are described as rational women, able to work in the public sector, have freedom of thought . Nevertheless, there are scenes that still show that new stereotypes of stereotype and could not free women from the bondage of patriarchy.
