ABSTRACT Online news media as a means of information for the public is the first milestone that can convey criticism of political dynasties that have occurred in Indonesia during the 2020 “Pilkada serentak”. Koran.Tempo.co in the cover story edition of 10-11 December 2020 is one of the online media that packs the reality of “Pilkada serentak”. The purpose of this research is that apart from being one of the requirements for obtaining a Bachelor's degree, this research is expected to reveal the representation of political dynasties in the 2020 “Pilkada serentak” in online media analysis on the cover story of the 10-11 December 2020 edition. This study uses a qualitative method with Roland's semiotic analysis. Barthes the results of this study indicate that the representation of political dynasties in “Pilkada serentak” through cover stories of the 10-11 December 2020 edition in the dimensions of denotation, connotation and myth through object elements, use of symbols and place settings visualized through illustrations.
