PERSENTASE GUGUR BUNGA DAN BUAH, HASIL, SERTA ANALISIS KELAYAKAN EKONOMI CABAI MERAH PADA ULTISOL YANG DIAPLIKASIKAN BERBAGAI DOSIS PUPUK ANORGANIK DAN BIOSTIMULAN
The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of biostimulant in reducing the use of inorganic fertilizer doses, the percentage of flower and fruit drops, and its role in increasing red chili production on Ultisol. This research was carried out from June to December 2021 at the Experimental Field of Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir. The research method used was a Randomized Block Design (RBD). The treatment level was B0=Control (100% recommendation of Urea + NPK fertilizer); B1=Biostimulant seed application; B2=Biostimulant seed application + 50% recommended NPK fertilizer + Urea ; B3=Biostimulant seed application + 75% recommended NPK fertilizer + Urea; B4=Biostimulant seed application + 100% recommendation of NPK fertilizer + Urea; B5=Biostimulant seed and soil application; B6=Biostimulant seed and soil application + 50% recommendation of NPK fertilizer + Urea; B7=Biostimulant seed and soil application + 75% recommendation of NPK fertilizer + Urea; B8=Biostimulant seed and soil application + 100% recommendation of NPK fertilizer + Urea. Each treatment was replicated 3 times so there were 27 experimental units. The research data were analyzed using ANOVA at the 5% level and post hoc test using LSD test. The results showed that the application of biostimulant combined with urea and NPK fertilizer had a significant effect on plant weight and production of curly red chili but had no significant effect on the percentage of flower drop and tended to increase flower drop, number of fruit per plant, and percentage of fruit drop. The economic feasibility analysis of red chili cultivation showed an R/C ratio of 1.69 and a B/C ratio of 0.69, which means that this curly red chili farming is profitable and feasible to develop. Based on the research, it can be concluded that treatment B6 (Biostimulant seed and soil application + 50% recommendation of NPK fertilizer + Urea) was the best treatment in increasing chili fruit weight per plant (g/plant) and curly red chili production (ton ha-1).
