ANALISIS KONSUMSI BERAS MERAH ORGANIK RUMAH TANGGA DI KOTA PALEMBANG
Consumption is an activity that aims to reduce or spend the things in terms of fulfillment and direct satisfaction. A household consists of one or more people who live together and also share food or living accommodation. The purpose of this study are: (1) to describe the consumption behavior of household that consume organic red rice in the city of Palembang, (2) to estimate the household consumption of organic red rice in Palembang, (3) to analyze the factors that influence organic red rice consumption of household in the city of Palembang. The research method was survey, and data collection using interview and questionnaire. The research was conduct on February - March 2021 of 30 consumers. The data processing method using tabular analysis and descriptive and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis using SPSS. Consumption behavior of households that consume organic red rice in Palembang includes: (1) the source of information comes from family with percentage 43,33%. (2) the reason to consume is because of health factors with percentage 46,66%. (3) determinant of quality is physical characteristics (delicacy, taste, flavour, and others) with percentage 56,66%. (4) variations in consumption of organic red rice (consuming organic brown rice and non-organic rice alternately) with percentage 80,00%. (5) the highest consumption frequency is 8 times in a month with percentage 40,00%. (6) food expenditure per month is Rp 101.000,00 – Rp 200.000,00 with percentage 53,33%. Level consumption of organic red rice in Palembang is 1-5 kg/family/month with percentage 66,66%. Factors which have a significant positive effect on consumption of organic red rice are age, price of non-organic rice, reasons for consuming, and factors which have not significant effect on consumption of organic red rice are education, income, number of family members, price organic red rice.
