Cassava is Indonesia's third largest food crop after rice and corn and cassava. This cassava as the flagship food in Indonesia can be cultivated on the infertile and can be utilized as a raw material. Soil arthropods play a role in the decomposition process of soil organic material so as to support the unfolding of the hara cycle in soil. Soil processing is any activity carried out on soil with the aim of facilitating cultivation, creating a state of soil that is fertile for the growth and development of plant roots while also an effort to eradicate weeds. The research was conducted at the Entomology Laboratory majoring in Plant Disease of Sriwijaya University's Faculty of Agriculture and Farmland in Sukarami District, Palembang City and Regency from October to December 2021. The study used tanman aged 1 to 11 months. Observations are made as many as 9 times with a time interval of once every 1 week. The Arthropod diversity of insect pests in cassava plants with pitfal termasuk traps belongs to a very low category with an index value of 0.16-0.40.. Keywords: Diversity of Arthropoda, ground surface, cassava.
