The research objective was to determine of effect of soil moisture content on the soil stickiness of the moldboard surface coated by brass in tillage ultisol soil. The method used was Factorial Randomized Block Design which consist two treatment factors and each treatment was repeated three times. Was material type (A) the soil moisture content (B). Type material have two level of treatments with type material are steel and brass and soil moisture content have three level treatment are wet soil moisture content, medium soil moisture content and dry soil moisture content. Observation parameters are soil stickiness (g), change in moldboard working depth (cm), change in moldboard cutting width (cm), height of plowed soil (cm) and inverted soil width (cm).The results showed that the type of brass material had a significant effect on the soil stickiness. Soil stickiness of the steel moldboard and coated by brass increases with the increase in the moisture content of the soil. Average of soil stickiness with wet soil moisture content using a steel moldboard of 316.23 g and a moldboard using a brass layer of 79.03 g. soil stickiness with medium soil moisture content using a steel moldboard of 120.63 g and a moldboard using a brass layer of 77.80 g.
