KERAGAMAN AKTIVITAS EKONOMI DAN SUMBER PENDAPATAN PETANI DAN BURUH TANI KARET SEBELUM DAN PADA SAAT COVID-19 DI DESA SEGAYAM KECAMATAN GELUMBANG KABUPATEN MUARA ENIM
The purposes of this research were to (1) analyze the diversity of economic activities carried out by rubber farmer households and rubber farm laborers before and during COVID�19 in Segayam Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency, (2) analyze the contribution and diversity index of household income of rubber farmers and rubber farm laborers before and during COVID-19, Segayam Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency. This research was conducted in Segayam Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency. Data collection was carried out in May 2021. The research method used in this study was a survey method. The data used in this study was the disproportionate stratifed random sampling method with a sample of 30 rubber farmers and 30 rubber farm laborers from 840 total population. The data processing method used in this study were an analysis of farm income (on-farm), non-rubber farming (off-farm) and non-farming (non-farm) as well as analyzing the household income contribution of farmers and rubber farm workers before and during COVID-19 19 Segayam Village and the household income diversity index of rubber farmers and rubber farm laborers before and during COVID-19 by calculating the entropy index. The results showed that there was a difference in the total income of the household income of rubber farmers in Segayam Village, namely a decrease of up to 31,27% or equivalent to Rp4.018.254. Based on on-farm and off-farm income decreased, while non-farm did not change. The total household income of rubber farming laborers in Segayam Village is a decrease of up to 24,62% or equivalent to Rp1.002.194. Based on the income on-farm decreased, while off-farm and non-farm did not change. Therefore, it was concluded that rubber farming (on-farm) remained the main source of income for farmer households and rubber farm laborers in Segayam Village before and during COVID-19. On-farm contributions to the total household income of farmers were 71,29% before COVID-19 and 73,28% during COVID-19, respectively. The household income diversity index of rubber farmers in Segayam Village before COVID-19 was 0,74 and 0,67 during COVID-19. Meanwhile, on-farm contributions to the total household income of farm workers were 62,00% before COVID-19 and 55,15% during COVID-19, respectively. The income diversity index of farmer households and rubber farm laborers in Segayam Village before COVID-19 was 0,77 and 0,83 during COVID-19. This means that the types of work carried out by farmer households and rubber farm workers in Segayam Village are quite diverse, to meet household needs.
