Barriers are a place where problems will be difficult to solve, the ASEAN Regional Forum is a forum established by ASEAN to be a place for representatives in each country to sit together in discussing the problem of resolving the South China Sea conflict without any violence. This study seeks to find out what are the obstacles of the ASEAN Regional Forum in resolving the South China Sea dispute. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data obtained with study documentation consists of articles, journals, websites and others. The theoretical concepts used are Constructivism and the National Interest. The type of research used in this research is qualitative. The data collection technique used is secondary. Based on the results of the research obtained, the ASEAN Regional Forum in resolving disputes encountered several obstacles such as differences in the national interests of each country, the lack of clear conventions in the ASEAN Regional Forum, the anarchic nature of the world that made countries not trust an international organization too much.
