PERAN GREENPEACE DALAM PENGURANGAN DAMPAK FAST FASHION TERHADAP LINGKUNGAN DI CHINA
Technological advances have brought significant developments to the flow of trade and the advancement of world industry in various fields, one of which is the fashion industry. Fashion terms related to textile industry trends are not just models or clothing materials, but there are also fashion trends that are still not widely known to the public, namely fast fashion. Fast Fashion has a bad impact on many things, one of which is a bad impact on the environment. Greenpeace as a non-government organization (Non-Governmental Organization) that voices environmental issues conducts evaluations to overcome environmental damage caused by fast fashion. This study will discuss the role of Greenpeace in Reducing the Impact of Fast Fashion on the Environment in China with a qualitative research type, with secondary data sources in the form of journals, articles, websites, books, news and official reports. This research also uses the transnational concept advocacy network by Margaret E. Keck and Kathryn Sikkink. Greenpeace uses four elements, namely Information Politics, Symbolic Politics, Leverage Politics, and Accountability Politics. The result of this research is that Greenpeace conducts research, campaigns, lobbied the government and urges fast fashion companies not to use hazardous materials in their supply and production chains.
