This thesis is a research that explaining the motives or main purpose of Indonesia in providing foreign aid to Myanmar by bantuan kemanusiaan in 2017. The author sees that this foreign aid has a strong economic motives because there was an Increase of 10% in the value of Indonesia’s investment in Myanmar in 2018. In conducting research on the motive of this foreign aid, the author uses the concept of David Sogge, the concept is Aid Allocation Motives. The author analyzes the motives of foreign aid using three variables, consisting of Socio Political Motives, Mercantile Motives, and Humanitarian Motives. After analyzing in this case studies with these motives, it was found that Indonesia provided bantuan kemanusiaan to Myanmar has a tendency of motives seems in the Strategic Socio Political Motives in the Cooperation and Access indicator, in the Mercantile Motive seems in the Export-Import and Investment indicators and in the Humanitarian And Ethical Motives seems in indicators of Reducing Poverty and Showing Compassion.
