PEACEBUILDING ACEH PASCAPERJANJIAN HELSINKI TAHUN 2005-2020
The Helsinki Agreement that took place in Aceh on August 15, 2005, marked the end of the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) conflict with the Republic of Indonesia. The existence of peace and the occurrence of peacebuilding in Aceh, marks a new beginning for Aceh's revival in political, economic, and social aspects. In peacebuilding, there are two phases, namely transition, and consolidation. The transitional phase can be seen from the initial inauguration of the Helsinki agreement and the formation of the Aceh Government Law (UUPA) as the legal force of the Helsinki memorandum of understanding while the consolidation phase is seen from the enactment of the Logga to date. This study aims to see the success of peacebuilding that occurred in Aceh after the Helsinki agreement, namely from 2005 to 2020. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through primary and secondary data sources, primary data through field research, namely by conducting interviews with informants, while secondary data through library research, namely related documents, books, journals, and readings. The results of this study indicate that Aceh is still able to maintain peace because there is still mutual trust and communication between the conflicting parties, and peacebuilding in Aceh through the transition and consolidation phase is going well so far. Keywords: Peacebuilding, Helsinki MoU, transition, consolidation, revitalization, recovery
