ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI WILLINGNESS TO PAY KONSUMEN PADA PEMBELIAN BAHAN PANGAN HEWANI SEBELUM DAN SELAMA PANDEMI DI KOTA PALEMBANG
The objectives of this study were (1) Describe the characteristics of consumers of animal food materials in modern markets and traditional markets in Palembang City. (2) Calculating the willingness to pay value of consumers for animal food materials before and during the pandemic in Palembang City through Willingness to Pay (WTP) analysis. (3) Analyzing the factors that affected the willingness to pay of consumers of animal foods materials before and during the pandemic in Palembang City. This research was conducted at the modern market and traditional market in Palembang City in January 2022. The research method used was survey method and data collection method using interview method with questionnaire. The data processing method used descriptive analysis method, Contingent Valuation Method (CVM), Paired Sample T-test, and Multiple Linear Regression analysis used SPSS application. The results of the research on consumer characteristics of animal food materials indicated that consumers in modern and traditional markets are dominated by women. The WTP value of animal food materials from modern market consumers have increased based on the WTP average value in all commodities during the pandemic. The value of WTP average in traditional markets has increased during the pandemic is red meat, white meat, fish and milk commodities. The WTP average value of eggs in traditional markets has decreased because the frequency of willingness to pay for egg consumer auctions during the pandemic is lower than before the pandemic. The factors that partially affect the wilinggness to pay for animal food materials in Palembang City before the covid-19 pandemic are education and income. Meanwhile, product price, gender, and product quality have no significant effect partially. During the pandemic, the factors that partially had a significant effect were income, product prices, and product quality. Meanwhile, the factors that have no significant effect partially are education and gender.
