Yamin2 Program Studi Agribisnis, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sriwijaya Jalan Palembang-Prabumulih Km.32 Indralaya Ogan Ilir 30662 Abstract The aims of this study were to: 1) analyze the perception of rice farmers in Plaju Darat Village, Plaju District, Palembang City on the dangers of covid-19, 2) analyze changes in the social behavior of rice farmers in Plaju Darat Village, Plaju District, Palembang City before the COVID-19 pandemic and in the future. the Covid-19 pandemic, 3) analyzing changes in the economic activities of rice farmers in Plaju Darat Village, Plaju District, Palembang City before the Covid-19 pandemic and during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research will be carried out in Plaju Darat Village, Plaju District, Palembang City. The determination of the location of this research was determined purposively with the consideration that Palembang City is the first area with the most cases of COVID-19 in South Sumatra, then Plaju Darat Village is one of the villages with residents who work as rice farmers in Plaju District which is one of the location of rice farming in Palembang City, South Sumatra Province. Data collection was carried out from February 2021 to June 2021. The method used in this study was a survey method. The sampling method used in this study is the quota sampling method with a sample of 34 farmers from 160 farmers who are members of farmer groups. The results showed that the perception of sample farmers about Covid-19 prevention behavior in the Plaju Darat Village, Plaju District, Palembang City, which had been measured by four indicators with an average score of 2.43, was included in the high criteria. Changes in the social behavior of rice farmers before the Covid-19 pandemic and during the Covid-19 pandemic experienced changes where before the Covid-19 pandemic the social behavior of farmers was quite high with an average score of 2.34. while during the Covid-19 pandemic it decreased with an average score of 2.25. The income of sample farmers' rice farming during the Covid-19 pandemic decreased compared to conditions before the Covid-19 pandemic with a difference of 218,058/cultivated area/year.
