NILAI KECERNAAN BAHAN KERING, TOTAL VOLATILE FATTY ACID, DAN RASIO ASETAT : PROPIONAT SILASE AMPAS SERAI WANGI (Cymbopogon Nardus L.) SECARA IN VITRO
This study aims to study the effect of the ensilase process on wamgi lemongrass dregs on dry matter digestibility, total volatile fatty acid, and acetate : propionate ratio in vitro. This research was carried out in November – December 2020 at the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Food Animal Husbandry Study Program, Department of Animal Technology and Industry, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. Data analysis used the T test method with 2 treatments and 10 replications consisting of P1 = Fragrant Lemongrass Dregs and P2 = Fragrant Lemongrass Dregs Silage. The observed variables included Dry Matter Digestibility, Total Volatile Fatty Acid, and Acetate: Propionate Ratio. The results of this study showed that the dry matter digestibility value was not significantly different (P>0.05), the total volatile fatty acid was not significantly different (P>0.05), and the acetate:propionate ratio was not significantly different (P>0.05). The Ensilase Process in Citronella Dregs did not affect the Digestibility Value of Dry Matter, Total Volatile Fatty Acid, and Acetate: Propionate Ratio in Fragrant Lemongrass Dregs which were tested by the In Vitro method.
