The trade war that occurred between the United States (US) -China has had an impact on the world economy. Countries in the world have felt positive and negative impacts, including countries in the Southeast Asia region. Vietnam is among the beneficiaries of the US-China trade war. This is because Vietnam is an alternative choice for many companies who want to relocate their companies. This study aims to explain how Vietnam's strategy in increasing Foreign Direct Investment by taking advantage of the opportunities of the United States-China trade war. There are two approaches used in this research, namely; (a) Theories concept based on other factors; (b) This concept of Neo-Classical Economy Theory refers that Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has a positive contribution to economic development in the host country. The results of this study indicate that the strategy adopted by Vietnam in increasing Foreign Direct Investment by taking advantage of the United States-China trade war is determined by several factors, namely; (a) political stability, (b) investment and tax incentives, (c) cheap labor, and finally (d) good infrastructure.
