Notaries for their competence, can be appointed as class II auction officials. They also can be authorized to write a deed of auction minutes fpr their office and position. The aim of this study is to analyze : (1) how the arrangement of Class II Auction Officers provides legal protection to Notaries, (2) the role of Notaries as Class II Auction Officers in carrying out auctions of assets of a bankrupt corporation, and (3) the legal responsibilities of Notaries as Class II Auction Officers concerning to errors in drawing the auction minutes deeds. It is a normative research using an approach based on law, scientific works, books, and journals related to the theme of this study. This study uses secondary and tertiary legal materials.The results of this study confirm that the appointment of a Notary to become a Class II auction officer is based on the ability and knowledge of a Notary in writing an authentic deed, The appointed notary has an important role as the leader of the auction process and to take care of the administration before and after the auction. He will write a report on the auction process until the appointment of the auction winner and a deed of auction minutes containing a description of the auction process. It is a Deed of release that contains what the Notary has seen, experienced, heard and felt directly, so that if there is an error, he is responsible for consequences that arise, particularly if it causes harm to others.
