This research aims to find out and describe the management of registry activities and mapping educators in the Palembang City Education Department. The research problem is the teachers at the elementary and junior high schools in the City of Palembang are prevalent for learners. The theory that used was management theory by George R. Terry which consists of planning, organizing, actuating and controlling. The research method that used was the qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used was interviews and documentation. The results of this study found that the management of registry activities and mapping educators in the Palembang City Education Department viewed from the planning aspect had not been fully planned because it does not have a written procedures. Aspects of organizing are well organized namely having a work team and clear division of tasks and authority. The aspects of actuating have been carried out on the orders of the leadership, although the results of the actuating show the results of a shortage of teachers at the elementary and junior high school level. This aspect of controlling has been carried out using the type of inherent controlling even though there are some problems and obstacles in the form of frequent headmaster changes in school operators and lack of programmers. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the management of registry activities and mapping educators in the Palembang City Education Department mostly consists of organizing, implementing and supervising has been realized, but there are still sub-aspects in planning that are not carried out, namely not having procedures. The efforts that must be made by the Palembang City Education Department are: in order to make a written operational standard procedure regarding the data collection and mapping of educators, to conduct socialization not to frequently change the school operators and to be able to add Palembang City Education Department programmers.
