AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN EKSTRAK DAUN DAN KULIT BATANG MANGROVE S. ALBA DI TANJUNG CARAT, KABUPATEN BANYUASIN, PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
Prepat plant (Sonneratia alba) is one of the mangrove species that has potential as an antioxidants source that has been exploited by coastal communities in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to determine and analyze the potential of antioxidant activities on the stem bark and leaves of Sonneratia alba mangrove in Carat Cape, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. The extraction method uses a single solvent, ethanol by doing maceration for 2x24 hours. Antioxidant analysis uses the DPPH method which the value is obtained from the percentage of inhibition which is converted through the probit table and concentration log. The results showed that the potential content of antioxidant activity in the leaf extract of S. alba maceration 1 and 2 showed a stronger value with values obtained at 20.27 ppm and 18.62 ppm, while the extract of S. alba stem bark obtained a value of 38.24. ppm and 22.96 ppm. Both the leaf extracts and stem bark of S. alba have very strong antioxidant potential.
