UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN PADA AKAR, BATANG DAN DAUN MANGROVE BRUGUIERA CYLINDRICA MENGGUNAKAN METODE DPPH DI PESISIR BANYUASIN, PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
Free radicals in the human body can cause a chain reaction, it is because free radicals have 1 unpaired electron in their outermost orbitals, which will damage the cells of the human body and cause various dangerous diseases. Antioxidants are needed by the body to stop reactions caused by free radicals. Banyuasin Coast of South Sumatra has a very diverse mangrove diversity so that various types of mangroves can be found in the area. This study aims to look at the potential antioxidant activity of all three parts of bruguiera cylindrica mangroves, namely roots, stems and leaves. The results of antioxidant activity testing using the DPPH method with sample concentrations of 1000, 500, 250, 125 and 62.5 have IC50 values of 131 ppm for the root part, 178 ppm for the stem part and 294 ppm for the leaf part.
