PEMODELAN NUMERIK POLA ARUS PASANG SURUT DI PERAIRAN TELUK BUNGUS, PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT MENGGUNAKAN FLOW MODEL HYDRODYNAMICS
The waters of Bungus Bay have important role because of the many activities that occur in these waters. This is the main reason for tidal current modeling using MIKE21 software. This study uses bathymetry, coastline and tidal data as MIKE21 input so that tidal current patterns are obtained in the Waters of Bungus Bay for 2014, 2017 and 2020. Data validation is conducted in this study to see the accuracy value of modeling results by comparing field recording data by the Coastal Vulnerability Resource Research Center with modeling data so that the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) value is obtained. The RMSE value for 2014, 2017 and 2020 are 9.74%; 11,85% ; 6,81%. Based on the results of the calculation of Formzahl numbers known the type of tidal waters of Bungus Bay is a mixed tide prevailing semidiurnal. There is a change in the direction of current movement from the observation of current patterns from three years of observation, in 2014 the current moves southwards when heading towards the tide and northwards when heading towards the low tide, in 2017 the current moves southwards when heading towards the tide and low tide, while in 2020 the current moves northwards when heading towards the tide and southwards when heading to low tide along the coastline. There is a slowdown in current speed, in 2014 the current speed was 0.00002-0.176 m/s, in 2017 the current speed was 0,0001- 0,149 m/s, and in 2020 the current speed was 0.00001-0.092 m/s. This is caused by the siltation of the batimteri in the northern part of Bungus Bay due to high sedimentation processes, deformation events and longshore current.
