ANALISIS KELIMPAHAN MIKROPLASTIK PADA SALURAN PENCERNAAN KERANG DARAH (Anadara granosa) DI PERAIRAN SUNGSANG, KABUPATEN BANYUASIN SUMATERA SELATAN
The increased use of plastic waste can cause pollution to the aquatic environment. Plastic waste in waters takes a very long time to degrade into small plastic particles called microplastics. Microplastics can enter the body of biota and cause blockages in the digestive system. This study aims to analyze the types of microplastics and the abundance of microplastics in the digestive tract of Anadara granosa. Samples of clams were purchased at the market of Sungsang Village, which came from Sungsang Waters, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. Microplastic analysis was performed using an Olympus CX23 microscope and FT-IR test. The results of this study indicate that the types of microplastics found in A. granosa include 250 particles of film, 133 particles of fiber and 38 particles of fragments. The average abundance of microplastics in A. granosa was 29,01 particles/gram (wet weight of the digestive tract). The types of microplastic polymers found are LDPE (Low-density Polyethylene), PE (Polyethylene), PP (Polypropylene), PA (Polymide), and PS (Polysterene) Keywords: Microplastic, Anadara granosa, Polymer, Sungsang Waters
