Cucumber plant (Cucumis sativus L.) is one type of plant that produces fruit that can be consumed directly as raw vegetables, cucumbers are also used as vegetables and refreshments. In vegetables that are consumed in raw form (fresh vegetables) such as cucumbers, pesticide residues are a problem that needs attention to the quality and safety of vegetables for public health. This study aims to determine the level of pesticide residue in cucumbers according to the Maximum Residue Limit (BMR) based on the Minister of Agriculture Regulation N0. 53 PEMENTAN/KR.040/12/2018 and to find out how the effect of lime juice on residue on cucumbers in Tanjung Pering Village. This research was conducted in Tanjung Pering Village, North Indralaya District and at the PT. Saraswanti Indo Genetech, Bogor. This research was conducted from July to December 2021. The data used in this study were divided into 2, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from laboratory analysis and interviews with farmers, while secondary data was obtained from journal literature, internet, book references, and written works. Based on the results of the research, the method of application of farmers is not appropriate. 5 Appropriate use of pesticides. Pesticide residue levels without treatment (control) exceeded the BMR, namely the content of pesticide residues with the active ingredient Imidacloprid of 1.2 mg/kg. Meanwhile, after soaking using Lime Water, it was reduced to 0.7 mg/kg and contamination of Escherichia coli and Salmonella sp. none (negative). Reduction of pesticide residues reached 42%. Cucumbers in Tanjung Pering Village, North Indralaya District are safe enough to be consumed after soaking in Lime Water.
