Fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda) is an agricultural pest from the United States to Argentina, the pest’s host has a wide range, especially for maize commodity. The effect of S. frugiperda attack could cause the commodity loss and economic loss. One of the effective way to controls S. frugiperda is by utilizing biological agents. Parasitoid is one of the biological agents that affect pest populations dynamics. This parasitoid controls the egg and larval S. frugiperda stages. This aimed of this research are to determine and analyze the dynamics of egg and larval parasitization S. frugiperda and to identify the diversity of parasitoid species, to determine and analyze the intensity of S. frugiperda attacks during a planting season. This research was carried out in maize plantations of Timbangan, Tanjung Pering and Lingkar Citra. This research used the census method for determining egg and larval parasitization S. frugiperda level and identifying the diversity of parasitoid species, and using the W-Path method to measure the attack intensitry in 4 plots of each research field and also using diagonal sampling for agronomic variables and maize production. The species of egg and larval parasitoids were found identifying in the Laboratory Entomology. The highest severity was 22.33% and the highest and incidence was 80% were on Timbangan, and the lowest sverity was 7.15% and the lowest incidence was 52.50% on Tanjung Pering. The highest egg parasitization was 46.37% were on Tanjung Pering, and the highest larval parasitization was 14.96% in Lingkar Citra. The lowest egg parasitization was 12.50% in Lingkar Citra and the lowest larval parasitization was 2.78% in Tanjung Pering. The research obtained 10 species of egg and larval parasitoids, including Telenomus remus, Trichogramma sp. Chelonus formonosus, Chelonus oculator, Chelonus annulipes, Chelonus cautus, Microplitis manilae, Microplitis marshallii, Euplectrus corriemorauae, and Comsilura concinatta. The highest maize production was found in the Lingkar Citra, which was then followed by the Timbangan and Tanjung Pering. These results were influenced by the land characteristics, differences such as the surrounding vegetation. Timbangan had a lot of maize land around its and at Lingkar Citra has a little bit maize land around it. The highest frequency of insecticide application in Tanjung Pering, was five times during whole planting season and the lowest frequency of insecticide application in Lingkar Citra was only once a planting season. Timbangan land has still many weeds between the rows of maize which can be alternative hosts, this is also influenced by the low frequency of sanitation. Highest frequency of sanitation in Lingkar Citra land. The location with the highest parasitoid level was at Tanjung Pering and Lingkar Citra has the most highest diversity on 28 DAP observations with a low level of species dominance on the Lingkar Citra. The land with the highest maize production is at the Lingkar Citra followed by Timbangan and Tanjung Pering. The dynamics of eggs and larvael parasitization S. frugiperda is mainly influenced by the age of the plant, the S. frugiperda attack’s phase, the population of S. frugiperda in the field, surrounding vegetation, and the frequency of insecticide application. The severity and incidence was mainly influenced by the age of the plant, the phase of S. frugiperda that attacked, the surrounding vegetation, and the treatment of farmers such as the frequency of sanitation.
