ANALISIS PENGETAHUAN DAN KEBUTUHAN AKAN APLIKASI DETEKSI DINI FAKTOR RISIKO PENYAKIT TIDAK MENULAR PADA CIVITAS AKADEMIKA UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes and chronic lung disease are responsible for nearly 70% of all deaths worldwide. According to WHO, the increase in deaths from Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) worldwide will continue to increase. Along with the development of technology, an application or media that can assist in providing knowledge and detecting risk factors for infectious diseases is considered to be able to facilitate and meet one's needs in increasing knowledge and awareness about risk factors for non�communicable diseases. This study aims to describe the knowledge and need for the application of early detection of risk factors for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) in the Academic Community of Sriwijaya University. This study uses qualitative research methods and descriptive research design involving 14 informants. The results showed that the description of the knowledge of the Sriwijaya University academic community was considered quite good, both from students, lecturers and employees, who already knew and understood about Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) and their risk factors. However, this knowledge has not been spread evenly throughout Sriwijaya University. An overview of the need for early detection applications for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) risk factors needed by the academic community of Sriwijaya University is an application that functions as an early detection medium so that it can be used as an early-reminder and detection system, with a self-assessment (diary) system that can it is updated every day by the user by filling in the data so that it can be used as a medium for monitoring and self-control, can store the health history data that has been inputted, can provide suggestions and recommendations on the results of the data entry and can function for surveillance and provide sources of information about diseases Non-communicable (PTM) and its risk factors. The research suggestion is that Sriwijaya University is expected to increase the knowledge of its academic community so that their knowledge is spread evenly by providing periodic information, as well as the participation and active role of the Sriwijaya Academic Community in finding and disseminating information related to Non-Communicable Diseases (PTM).
