KOMPOSISI DAN KELIMPAHAN ZOOPLANKTON DI PERAIRAN PULAU TANGKIL KABUPATEN PESAWARAN PROVINSI LAMPUNG
The waters of Tangkil Island are often used for tourism activities and have several ecosystems, namely coral reefs, mangroves, and seagrasses. In marine waters, physico-chemical parameter factors can affect the structure of the zooplankton community. Zooplankton can only live and develop properly in suitable water conditions. The purpose of this study was to identify the types of zooplankton, analyze the community structure and its relationship with physico-chemical parameters in the waters of Tangkil Island. This research was conducted in February 2021. Sampling and measurement of physico-chemical parameters were carried out at 8 station points scattered around the island. Sampling includes water samples, taking physico-chemical parameters including temperature, salinity, pH (Degree of Acidity), and current velocity. The relationship of zooplankton community to water parameters using PCA analysis. Based on the results obtained on the composition found 8 taxa namely Sagitta, Nauplius, Calanus, Oithona, Diaptomus, Cylopoid, Oikopleura and Fish larvae. The abundance of zooplankton in the waters of Tangkil Island shows an abundance with values ranging from 9.916 – 20.666 ind/m3. The community structure in these waters has the criteria for moderate diversity (H'), high uniformity (E), and low dominance (C) or no dominant species. Based on the results of the main component analysis for the relationship between the zooplankton community and the water parameters with the characteristics, namely salinity, temperature, dominance, uniformity, and abundance.
