The background of this research is the lack of transparency in the realization of accountability reports for the community and the development programs implemented are not in accordance with the budget that has been realized with the final results. This can be seen from the purpose of the study, namely to determine the application of the principle of financial accountability in the use of village funds in the village government of Arisan Buntal, Kabuapten Ogan Komering Ilir. This study uses a qualitative method. The focus of this research is the principle of accountability, there are 4 (four) namely accuracy, transparency, timeliness, and relevance. Data collection techniques by means of documentation and interviews. The results of the study can be concluded that this thesis is entitled the application of the principle of financial accountability in the use of village funds in the village administration of Arisan Buntal Village, Ogan Komering Ilir District in 2018, using the theory of financial accountability principles put forward by Mahmudi, which consists of 4 (four) elements, where 2 ( two) elements have been optimal, namely the application of accuracy and timeliness, and 2 (two) elements are not optimal, namely transparency and relevance.
