BIODIVERSITAS POLYCHAETA DI PERAIRAN MUARA SUNGAI MUSI, DESA SUNGSANG SUMATERA SELATAN
Sungsang is a residential area on the coast of Banyuasin. Human activities can cause changes in water quality. Polychaeta is one of the benthic animals that will experience changes in compisition due to enivironment pressure. The purpose of this research was to identify the type of polychaeta, to analyze the community structure and to know the relation organic matter and polychaeta density in Musi River Estuary, Sungsang Village, South Sumatera. This research was conducted in February 2021, the samples taken were polychaeta samples and sediment samples of organic matter, as well as direct measurement of physical and chemical parameter of the water. The types of polychaeta found to consist of family Lumbrineridae (Lumbrineris sp), and Nereididae (Nereis sp). The density of polychaeta ranged from 1.504-2.831 ind/m2, with diversity index ranging from 0-0,68, uniformity indix 0-0,32, and dominance index ranging from 0,51-1. The results of linear regression analysis show that organic matter had an effect of 29,76% on the density of polychaeta. Based on PCA result for the relationship between density and community structure of polychaeta with physical-chemical water parameters, the characteristic variables were temperature, pH, DO, density, diversity, uniformity and dominance.
