ANALISIS HUBUNGAN DURASI PENGGUNAAN VISUAL DISPLAY TERMINAL (VDT) DENGAN KEJADIAN COMPUTER VISION SYNDROME (CVS) PADA PEGAWAI DINAS KOMUNIKASI DAN INFORMATIKA KOTA PALEMBANG
Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) is a group of eye diseases and problems related to vision. In their activities, Dinkominfo Palembang employees use computers, laptops, smartphones, cameras and camcorders for 5-7 hours per day. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship between the duration of the use of the Visual Display Terminal (VDT) with the incidence of CVS in the employees of the Palembang City Communication and Information Office. This research is quantitative with cross sectional study. Research respondents are employees who use VDT for at least 2 hours continuously. Respondents used as many as 82 people out of 100 employees Dinkominfo Palembang City. Eye refraction examination was carried out before filling out the questionnaire. Multivariate analysis was used to see the most influential variables being confounding. Employees with a duration of 4 hours using VDT were at risk for CVS as many as 44 people (86.3%) with a p-value of 0.001. A total of 38 people (84.4%) employees with eye refraction examination with ametropic status had a 1.48 times greater risk of developing CVS (CI 1.48 and p-value 0.011 < 0.05); 44 people (83.0%) employees with low ergonomics computer workstations have a 1.60 times greater risk of experiencing CVS (CI 1.60 and p-value 0.006
