The polemic of the “Pasal Karet” in the ITE Law is still reaping the pros and cons among the public and the government. This has become news in every media, including online newspaper media, one of which is mediaindonesia.com. In a news report, the ideology of media ownership becomes an influence on the discourse that is built. This study aims to look at the framing formed by mediaindonesia.com in conveying a message and provide an overview of the extent to which the ideology of the media owner is played in a news discourse. This study uses a framing analysis of the Zhongdang and Pan Kosicki models assisted by the political economy perspective of the media as a substantive theory. The results of this study indicate that the framing carried out by mediaindonesia.com on the news of "Pasal Karet" in the ITE Law is in favor of the Government and builds a positive image of the ITE Law. This study also shows the commodification, spatialization and structuration carried out by mediaindonesia.com. which cannot be separated from the ownership of the media.
